Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said Pakistan is being recognized as a peace-maker and net security provider for the region due to its mediation efforts between the US and Iran.

Speaking in the National Assembly today, he said these efforts led to saving hundreds of thousands of lives. He said Pakistan served as an honest and sincere mediator between the US and Iran.

He highlighted in detail Pakistan’s efforts for peace, including the role it played in negotiations in Switzerland.  He paid tributes to the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in this regard.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the economic benefits are coming to the fore following Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and mentioned the decline in the prices of petroleum products.
