Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has expressed the desire to join China’s Belt and Road infrastructure investment project.

He said this during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

He said Iraq has gone through war and is grateful to China for its valuable support.
