Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima has expressed satisfaction over the growing presence of technology companies in Pakistan, saying this has been made possible through continued government support.

She was talking to the media at the inauguration of Huawei Spare Parts Repair Center in Islamabad today.

The Minister described the establishment of the Repair Center as an encouraging step and expressed confidence that it would serve not only Pakistan but the entire region.

She said domestic repair of telecom equipment would help save valuable foreign exchange, saying it has already contributed to savings of one million dollars.
