Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has announced to extend motorway infrastructure beyond Kaghan and Naran to promote tourism and facilitate trade up to the Chinese border.

He was addressing the business community at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lahore today.

Abdul Aleem Khan said construction work on the expansion of the Faisalabad Motorway is progressing rapidly. He said that the Lodhran Expressway will also be completed soon.

The Minister said the Sialkot-Kharian Motorway would reduce the distance between Lahore and Islamabad by one hundred kilometers.

He said improved motorway connectivity would open up new opportunities for trade with other countries.
