President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated the need to adopt research-based, technology-driven solutions to visibly improve healthcare services in Pakistan.

He was talking to Siemens' Executive Vice President Daniel Frisch and Head of Siemens government affairs, Veronika Pfister, in Berlin today.

The President said Pakistan highly values German industrial, technological and infrastructural support by organizations like Siemens health division that has physical presence in Pakistan for many decades with over one hundred employees in three major cities of Pakistan including Karachi.

He suggested diversifying Siemens' investment, considering its internationally established competencies, across other social and industrial sectors of Pakistan.

He assured fullest institutional cooperation in this regard through the Platform of Special Investment Facilitation Council.

The Siemens delegation told the President that their representatives will soon visit Pakistan to sign MoUs with their partners in capacity building and technological domains in the health industry of Pakistan.
