Waheed Ahmed (Former Ambassador) The relations between Pakistan and Turkiye are very deep rooted, culturally strong and completely linked with each other. We respect each other and love one another with all our hearts. Both citizens of the country have strong feelings for each other. At the leadership level, we have great understanding and cooperation among both countries. Turkiye has always supported us on Kashmir issue and came forward when needed. As far as strategic and military relations are concerned, they are and definitely will be strengthened in every term. Our Air Forces have excellent cooperation among them and now our Naval forces are also engaging with each other, as the world will observe the launching of PNS Khaibar tomorrow. This cooperation will strengthen the defense system of both of the countries. Whenever the two leaders meet they always discuss matters of mutual interest in terms of business and trade cooperation. The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit is very fortunate, as he is inviting all of the investors from around world to invest as much as they can in Pakistan. As far as transfer of technology is concerned, the Turkish people will have no hesitation to provide such facility and assistance to Pakistan. We also are in need of such assistance that will definitely strengthen our defense system.

Aslam Chandio (News Editor TRT World) If we see historically, Pakistan and Turkiye has strongly brotherly relations since its independence. The strategic, defense and trade cooperation has been improved since the incumbent government has taken over. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is paying a two-day official visit to Türkiye on the invitation of President Tayyip Erdogan. Alongside President Erdogan, PM Shehbaz Sharif will jointly inaugurate the third of the four MILGEM Corvette Ships for the Pakistan Navy, PNS Khaibar, at the Istanbul Shipyard. The two leaders will also hold wide-ranging discussions encompassing bilateral relations, the regional situation and other issues of common interest. The Prime Minister will interact with leaders of the Turkish business community. The President of the ECO Trade and Development Bank will also call on the Prime Minister during his stay in Istanbul. The PM's visit is very important and this mutual cooperation will definitely help both of the countries to counter terrorism as well as update their defense system.
