Russia says supply of Abrams battle tanks to Ukraine by the United States will burn like the others.

Speaking at a daily briefing with reporters in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said they would be a waste of money and an expensive folly.

Earlier, U.S. officials told Reuters that Washington is poised to send dozens of its M1 Abrams battle tanks to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Russian Defence Ministry said the frigate Admiral Gorshkov has tested its strike capabilities in the western Atlantic Ocean.

In a statement, the ministry said the frigate had run a computer simulation on hypersonic Zircon missiles.

Zircon missiles have a range of 900 km and can travel at several times the speed of sound.
