Amb. A M Shahid (Former Diplomat):Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is the one of the emerging regional forums of the world with China and Russia as key members. Pakistan has always been coordinating with SCO members on the issue of terrorism, narcotics control and regional connectivity. While addressing this forum in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the forum and to advancing cooperation, connectivity and shared growth among SCO Member States. This forum also provides Pakistan with a chance to hold direct or indirect talks with our next-door neighbours. So, this forum may be a forum of hope and peace for the whole world. Our Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also highlighted Pakistan's diplomatic efforts for regional peace, including the Islamabad Talks and the subsequent Islamabad MoU, which reflected Pakistan's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy. Similarly, ASEAN Region Forum (ARF) is significant platform for regional issues. Pakistan is an old member of ARF. Member states can discuss numerous issues at this forum. Moreover ASEAN ARF also offers opportunities to hold sideline meetings. Pakistan is exporting and importing a large number of products to ASEAN countries.  ASEAN countries are emerging markets for Pakistani products and we have huge chance of exporting exports. Manila moot has offered Pakistan great opportunities to hold key meetings with ASEAN partners.
