China has conducted a successful test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile, carrying a dummy warhead into the Pacific Ocean, marking the first such test since 1980.

According to Beijing's Defence Ministry, the launch was conducted as part of the country's annual training.

The missile was launched into international waters, marking a significant milestone in China's military capabilities.
