Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the concerned authorities to install new CT scan machines in every district of the province.

Chairing a video-linked meeting in Lahore today, she also directed the establishment of a pool of doctors and medical superintendents to deal with emergency situations.

She directed the establishment of telemedicine centres to provide treatment for seasonal and common diseases.

The meeting was informed that the Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Clinic on Wheels project has benefited 30 million patients through 911 mobile clinics in a short period of time.

The meeting decided to convert three hundred Rural Health Centres into full-fledged hospitals.
