Punjab Chief Minister's Focal Person on Garment City and Women Vocational Training Centers, Salma Sadia Taimur has said that government is taking practical steps for the promotion of culture, arts and literature related activities in the society.

She was addressing a ceremony held to celebrate the literary achievements of renowned Poetess and Human Rights Activist Farzana Aqib in Lahore.

She said the government launched several mega projects particularly for the youth with a special focus on women empowerment.

Praising Farzana Aqib, Sadia Taimoor said that she has introduced Islamic culture to the world through her poetry and is actively projecting Pakistan’s soft image at international level.

Senior Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zaki Ijaz, Controller News, Radio Pakistan Lahore Sajjad Parvez also addressed the event.
