South Korea, US hold largest live-fire drills to respond to 'full-scale' attack

South Korean and the US forces have started live-fire exercises to demonstrate their military capability against the North's threats.

South Korea's Defence ministry said some 2,500 troops from both countries are taking part in the exercises, which will continue until mid-June.

Last week, North Korea's state media reported that leader Kim Jong Un had approved final preparations for the launch of the first military spy satellite.
