The United Nations has called for a strong international response following the executions of four pro-democracy activists by the military junta in Myanmar.

In a statement, the UN Human Rights Chief, Michelle Bachelet dismayed that despite the appeal from across the world, the military leaders in Myanmar moved ahead with no regard for international rights law.
