The 11th death anniversary of renowned broadcaster, poet, intellectual, and television actor Asif Ghauri was observed today.

Born in 1954 in Chaman, Balochistan, Asif Ghauri began his broadcasting career as an announcer at Radio Pakistan Quetta.

He later joined the state broadcaster as a programme producer.

In addition to his distinguished broadcasting career, Asif Ghauri acted in more than 200 television dramas and also made notable contributions to poetry, earning widespread recognition in Pakistan's media and literary landscape.

Asif Ghauri passed away on this day in 2015.
