Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh says India cannot suspend the Indus Waters Treaty unilaterally, describing any such move as illegal and contrary to international law.

He was addressing the launch ceremony of a research report titled 'Water, Climate, and Diplomacy: Securing Pakistan's Indus Basin Future' in Islamabad today.

The Minister warned that continued tensions over water could have serious consequences for South Asia and global peace.
