Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Ali Wasim visited Shahzad Town Police Station, where he inspected different sections of the station along with the facilities being provided to citizens.

The DIG Islamabad directed police officers to ensure timely redressal of public complaints and conclude under-investigation cases on merit without unnecessary delay.

He directed officers to take effective action against proclaimed, wanted and record-holding offenders and intensify targeted operations against criminal gangs.

Later, DIG Ali Wasim held Open Court at his office where he met with complainants to listen to their concerns and directed officers to resolve those complaints within the prescribed time.

He said citizens can approach police directly with their complaints without any recommendation or influence and contact the IGP Complaint Cell at 1715.

Meanwhile, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, while chairing a meeting, has directed officers of Industrial Area and Sohan Zones to strengthen patrolling and intensify operations against criminal elements.

He said negligence in preventing crime and maintaining law and order would not be tolerated.
