Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said the country cannot achieve sustainable prosperity without improving the standards of education and healthcare.

Addressing a ceremony in Narowal today, he said the country needs to address the challenges posed by rapid population growth, diabetes and hepatitis C.

The Minister said a strong social structure is essential for sustainable progress and development.

Ahsan Iqbal stressed the need to strengthen district governments to improve education, healthcare and other basic services for the people.
