Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that the Federal Government, despite limited resources, will provide all possible assistance to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government for the development, welfare, and prosperity of its merged districts.
Chairing a meeting regarding matters related to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad on Tuesday, he advised addressing the financial issues of the province and directed the formation of a secretarial committee for this purpose. The committee will submit recommendations regarding net hydel profit as well as the royalty of oil and gas.
The Prime Minister also instructed to expedite the process of granting Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, and Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad the status of universities.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, on the occasion, maintained that the caretaker government has introduced reforms in every sector during the last four months, which will benefit the country, the people, as well as the next elected government. He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war against terrorism. He added that the interim government is fully aware of the problems being faced by the province, and we are standing by the people and the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
