The Arab League has warned that forced displacement of Palestinian people from their land would be deemed as 'ethnic cleansing'.

In a statement, the Arab League general secretariat said attempts to uproot the Palestinian people from their land, whether by displacement, annexation or settlement expansion, have been proven to fail in the past.

Jordan and Egypt have also rejected any displacement of Palestinians.
