Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed Defence Minister Yoav Gallant on speaking against the country’s planned judicial reforms.

Yoav Gallant, a senior member of Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud Party, voiced concerns over reforms and called for the legislation to overhaul Israel’s judicial system to be frozen.

Meanwhile, thousands of protesters staged the rallies and blocked a main highway in Tel Aviv against the reforms.
