North Korea on Monday launched two ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan a day ahead of US warship's arrival in the peninsula to participate in exercises with South Korean warships.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the two missiles were fired at a 10-minute interval from a Pyongyang and traveled around 370 kilometers before landing at sea.

This is the tenth missile launch by North Korea since the beginning of the year.
