Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said that the National Highway Authority will construct seven major highways in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Talking to journalists in Skardu today, he said that toll tax will be charged on non-local vehicles using these highways, while vehicles registered in Gilgit-Baltistan will be exempt from paying toll tax.

He further said the revenue generated from toll tax will be utilized for the maintenance of highways in the region.
