PM expresses solidarity with Spain, France over wildfires

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating wildfires in Spain and France.

In separate posts on X, the Prime Minister extended Pakistan's solidarity with the two countries during this difficult time.

He said he is deeply saddened to learn of the devastating wildfires sweeping across Spain. He also described the wildfires affecting France and the immense hardship they have caused as deeply disturbing and alarming.

The Prime Minister extended heartfelt sympathies to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, French President Emmanuel Macron, the governments and the people of both countries, especially those who have been displaced or otherwise affected by the tragedy.

The Prime Minister said he sincerely hopes that the fires will be brought under control at the earliest and that the affected communities will recover swiftly.

He also said Pakistan's thoughts and prayers are with all those battling the fires and the communities in their path.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan stands in solidarity with Spain and France during this difficult time and remains ready to extend any assistance that may be required.
