In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiris have been deprived of their fundamental freedom of religious practices.

According to a report by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, Chairman APHC Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurryat leaders have not been allowed to offer Juma and Eid prayers for the past over ten years.

The report said every year hundreds of people are denied travel documents to perform Hujj and Umrah because of their affiliation with the freedom struggle.    

The report maintains that fearing expression of anti-India sentiments, main Muharram processions have been banned in the territory and Indian troops are carrying out widespread raids and arrests to stop people from attending Muharram processions.             

Through the report appeal has been made to international rights bodies to come forward to save the Kashmiri Muslims from Hindu fascism.
