Lt. Gen. (R) Raza Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst): India is the main sponsor, supporter and financer of the BLA. This is for the first time such incident of terrorism has happened in Balochistan. I am sure the provincial and federal government are determined to take decisive action against this incident. These actions be categorized as administrative actions in which the B areas need to be finished inside the whole Balochistan and these should be converted to A areas so that the responsibilities of provincial counterterrorism are given to police department and supported by FC Balochistan. Then there will be actions against these terrorists. Like in the past, the punishments should also be given to the financers and supporters whether they are domestic supporters or they are foreign supporters.
The law and order is essentially a provincial subject. At the level of provincial government, the counterterrorism department should be strengthened and needs to be reorganized by finishing Levies forces which are ill-trained and they are not very organized. I believe that the terrorism in Balochistan is 90 percent external and only 10 percent internal and the internal elements should be dealt with as severely as the external elements. Today Federal Minister and Governor Balochistan, they have decided that decisive action will be taken against all terrorists and those who are not accepting the writ of Pakistan government and Pakistani constitution, of course that is a political issue and they could have hold negotiations with them.
Brig. (R) Masood Ahmad Khan: The terrorists are using Islam as a pretext for terrorism and resorting to linguistic and ethnic terrorism. In Balochistan, their terrorism is based on linguistic and ethnicity. We don’t have any doubt and need clarity as long as Indian involvement is concerned, it is basically idea and all operation is conceived and planned by the Indians. The terrorists are basically the proxies used for the execution of the plan made by Indian RAW. The way Indian media projected these terrorist activities in Balochistan, it speaks about their involvement and interest.
