The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced multiple features on the Pak Hajj App to facilitate pilgrims.

Pilgrims can now modify their package duration and accommodation preferences from their homes.

They can select two-bed, three-bed, family-room or shared accommodation through the app. They can also switch between long and short Hajj packages.

The app offers the facility to print the medical fitness certificate and get it verified by an authorized doctor, after which it must be re-uploaded to the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal.

Overseas Pakistanis can also obtain a fitness certificate from a nearby doctor and upload it to the app.

Successful pilgrims can apply for a Mahram or helper under the hardship quota.

A feature has also been introduced for cancellation of Hajj applications and refund of fees in unavoidable circumstances.

Various Hajj-related services are now accessible from home, without office visits, queues or waiting.

Meanwhile, private Hajj bookings are underway through the National IT Board's digital Hajj Portal.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has prohibited private Hajj bookings or payments made outside the Hajj Portal.

So far, 26,000 applications have been completed under the private Hajj scheme, while 45,000 slots are available.
