In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have arrested several youth on fake charges during cordon and search operations in different districts of the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the operations were conducted in Srinagar, Barmaulla, Kupwara, Islamabad, Shopian, Kulgam, Rajouri, Poonch and Kishtwar districts.   

Meanwhile, hundreds of people mostly farmers, traders and transporters held a protest demonstration in Srinagar against India's targeting of economy in occupied territory.

The protesters shouted slogans against the occupation regime for its policies against Kashmiri traders, transporters and farmers.    

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement in Srinagar said that India has turned entire occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a prison where military and police are being used to wage war against the oppressed Kashmiris.   

On the other hand, Kashmiri civil society members have deplored India’s non-seriousness towards resolving the Kashmir dispute.   

The members at a meeting in Srinagar said that New Delhi is treating occupied Jammu and Kashmir as its colony and is violating international laws and agreements by depriving the Kashmiris of all their basic rights.
