France and Russia have agreed to continue meaningful dialogue to de-escalate tensions in Ukraine.  

An agreement to this effect came during a telephonic conversation between French President Emmanuel Macron and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

In his remarks, Russian President said the United States and NATO have not addressed Moscow's main security demands in their standoff over Ukraine but his country is ready to keep talking.
