Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar says the government wants to ensure transparency in the Senate elections to strengthen democracy.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore today (Sunday), he hoped that all Senate candidates of PTI will win and the party will emerge as the largest party in upper house of the parliament.

The Governor said all appointments of vice chancellors for public sector universities are being made on merit that will enhance performance of the educational institutions.
