July 28, 2026

The violent agenda of the banned committee aimed at disturbing peace in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has once again come to light following the arrest of a miscreant in Rawalakot.

According to the arrested miscreant, Muhammad Abid, he was affiliated with the armed wing of the banned committee and had returned from abroad about two weeks before the incident for this purpose.

He also confessed to being a trained sniper, indicating the presence of professionally trained armed elements among the protesters.

The arrested miscreant further said that he was armed during the clashes and confessed that four to five Rangers’ personnel were injured in the exchange of fire.

He also revealed that around 100 to 150 armed miscreants of the banned committee are still positioned at different locations.

Security experts say the presence of armed and trained miscreants in the banned committee's protest indicates that the violence was pre-planned and driven by a deliberate agenda to create unrest.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies continue to perform their duties with restraint, responsibility and professionalism to maintain peace and public order in the area.
