FM apprises his British counterpart of grave HR violations in IIOJ&K

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has presented his British counterpart Liz Truss a dossier comprising concrete and irrefutable evidence of over three thousand war crimes of Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He handed over the document to the British Foreign Secretary at a meeting in London today (Tuesday).

Shah Mahmood Qureshi apprised his British counterpart of the grave human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He said we hope that the United Kingdom will play an effective role to get the innocent Kashmiris freed of the Indian oppression and provided with their due right of self-determination.

About the Afghan situation, the Foreign Minister said Pakistan's foremost priority in the given situation is to save Afghanistan from a human crisis.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi called upon the international community not to isolate Afghanistan learning from the past mistakes. He said the international community must ensure human and economic assistance to Afghanistan.

Later, talking to media in London today, the Foreign Minister said he has discussed establishment of Joint Working Groups with the British authorities to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UK. He said the United Kingdom is an important country and Pakistan wants to further strengthen its relations.

The Foreign Minister said a large number of Pakistani diaspora is living in the United Kingdom and playing an important role in UK's development and prosperity.
