The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has expressed its determination to take all possible measures within the ambit of the Constitution and law to deal with the armed gangs of outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee.

The resolve was expressed by Chief Secretary of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Khushhal Khan and Inspector General of Police Captain (Retired) Liaquat Ali Malik while addressing a news conference in Muzaffarabad today.

The Chief Secretary paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of police force who rendered sacrifices for peace in the State. He also lauded the courage and valour of the injured police personnel and prayed for their early recovery.

The Chief Secretary said the process of transfer of power has now been completed peacefully in the State following the peaceful elections and normalcy is returning to the State. He further said that the AJK government is strictly monitoring the anti-State agenda, activities and movements of the miscreants.

Speaking on the occasion, Inspector General of Police AJK Captain (Retired) Liaquat Ali Malik said the government will utilize all resources to maintain writ of the State and law and order.

He said the government will also deal with an iron hand with those miscreants who martyred and injured security personnel in tragic incident that took place in Chamyati area of Dhirkot.

Liaquat Ali Malik said one hundred and twenty-two accused involved in creating a law and order situation and spreading anarchy in Chamyati area have been arrested and cases are being registered against them.

Referring to recently held peaceful elections and formation of government in Azad Kashmir, he said the law enforcement agencies foiled conspiracy hatched by violent gangs of banned Joint Awami Action Committee to sabotage the election process.

The AJK IGP urged the people of Azad Kashmir to recognize the real face of these violent outfits and outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee from the videos posted on their own social media platforms.
