In Sudan, at least six army personnel have been killed in an attack in disputed border region with Ethiopia.

In a statement, Sudan’s military said our forces in Al-Fashaq were attacked by groups of Ethiopian army forces and militias, who want to intimidate farmers and spoil the harvest season.

Al-Fashaqa is a border zone long cultivated by Ethiopian farmers but claimed by Sudan.
