In the first One Day International of three match series, New Zealand beat Pakistan by seventy three runs at Napier today.

Batting first, New Zealand scored 344 runs for the loss of nine wickets in stipulated fifty overs.

In reply, Pakistan were all out at 271 in 44 point one overs.
