In Afghanistan, Taliban have captured the strategically important city of Lashkar Gah in a major assault on Helmand Province.

Meanwhile, fierce fighting between the Afghan security forces and Taliban continued in at least 20 provinces including Ghazni, Takhar, Kandahar, Helmand and Baghlan provinces.

On the other side, one hundred fifty thousand Afghan people displaced and many forced to flee to safer places as the war raging in rural areas and Taliban have surrounded the Kandahar city.

Afghan government had detained four journalists for trying to enter Spin Boldak district, bordering Pakistan.
