Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has stressed the need for continued coordination to facilitate beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Special Fuel Relief Scheme and ensure smooth service delivery across the country.

He was chairing a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Fuel Subsidy in Islamabad today to review implementation of the Prime Minister's Special Fuel Relief Scheme.

The Committee reviewed progress on registration, token redemption, payments and complaint management.

The Committee was informed that so far, around seven point six million registrations have been successfully made and token redemption process has entered the second week. 

It was also briefed that seven point seven one million tokens have been redeemed till today.

The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the success of the scheme and highlighted that it was a reflection of the "whole of Government" approach.

Ishaq Dar said Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Ministry of Information and  Broadcasting, Ministry of  Petroleum, OGRA, State Bank of Pakistan and all the provinces have made concerted efforts in the "whole of Government" approach.
