Secretary General of Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Deemah AlYahya has commended Pakistan for championing Digital Foreign Direct Investment (DFDI).

Addressing a news conference alongside Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima in Islamabad on Wednesday, she stated that the digital economy is a key driver of growth and prosperity. She noted that Pakistan is emerging as a leading nation in accelerating digital investment, which will contribute significantly to economic development.

In her remarks, Shaza Fatima said Digital Foreign Direct Investment Forum has led to investment commitments totaling seven hundred million dollars. She emphasized that the forum has strengthened international confidence in Pakistan's IT sector.

She further outlined the government's vision of achieving a twenty five billion dollars economic contribution from the IT sector over the next five years. She mentioned that twenty five percent growth in IT exports was seen during the first nine months of current fiscal year.
