A three-day Spring Mela will be started in the Orakzai district from seventh of next month.  

The Mela is being organized with the collaboration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Tourism Wing for merged districts, District Administration Orakzai and Pakistan Army.

Sports competitions, traditional wrestling, truck and tractor pulling, stone lifting, mass wrestling, Kabaddi, jeep race, Paragliding, cricket, football, volleyball including music concerts will be the part of Mela.

The festival also includes cultural stalls of all four provinces.

The purpose of organizing Mela is to attract tourists and promotion of cultural and employment opportunities.
