The meeting was informed that social protection programmes will be linked with family planning initiatives, while women's education and economic empowerment will form a key component of the population management strategy.

It was said that an effective nationwide awareness campaign will be launched to promote balanced population growth. It was noted that countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Iran have successfully implemented population control programmes.

The briefing highlighted that the National Population Council, in collaboration with the provincial governments, will help implement an effective nationwide population campaign. It was also informed that the Council's Secretariat will be established in the Ministry of Planning.
