Complete shutdown to be observed on Friday against posting of blasphemous video in IIOJK
November 30, 2023

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed tomorrow to protest against posting of a blasphemous video by a non-Kashmiri Hindu student about Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyyin Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam".

Call for the shutdown has been given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference and supported by other pro-freedom organizations.

The shutdown is also aimed at protesting against illegal arrests, booking of students under a draconian law, dismissal of government employees and confiscation of the properties of people in occupied Kashmir.

The occupied territory is simmering with anger since Tuesday after a Hindu student studying at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar posted a derogatory video clip on social media about the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The protests by the students of NIT, Amar Singh College and Islamia College in Srinagar have rocked the campuses in the last three days.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference through posters pasted on walls, pillars and electricity poles in Srinagar and other areas of occupied Kashmir asked the people to make tomorrow’s shutdown a success.

The ulema and Imams have urged the people to hold demonstrations after Juma prayers, tomorrow, outside their respective mosques against the heinous crime committed by the Hindu student.

Illegally detained senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a message sent from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail said that the Kashmiri Muslims would not allow anyone to mock their religion. He said such blasphemous acts to provoke Muslims were unacceptable.
