Farmers protesting against 3 farm laws to march to parliament in may

In India, thousands of farmers, who have been protesting against the Modi government's three controversial agriculture laws near Delhi borders for over four months have decided to intensify their agitation in May.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha which is an umbrella body of 40 farmers' unions said in an announcement today, they will also march on Parliament in the first half of May.

Samyukta Morcha has said in the first fortnight of May, farmers, labourers, women, Dalit-Adivasi-Bahujans, unemployed youth and every section of the society will be part of this march.

The date for the event will be announced in the coming days.
