A month-long post-Hajj flight operation begins today to bring back nearly 119,000 Hujjaj.

Radio Pakistan correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Makkah that Pakistan International Airlines, Airblue, Air Sial and Saudia Airlines will work together to facilitate the safe return of Pakistani Hujjaj.

Under the government Hajj scheme, the first flight will depart from Jeddah on Sunday night and reach Sialkot early on Monday with 391 pilgrims on board.

On the first day of the operation, 22 flights will bring 5,237 Hujjaj back to Pakistan. Five flights are scheduled to land in Islamabad, four each in Karachi and Lahore, three each in Multan and Sialkot, two in Faisalabad and one in Quetta.

Flight operation from Madinah will start one week after the Jeddah operation.

The post-Hajj flight operation will continue for one month, with the last flight landing in Lahore on 30th June.
