Cyclone “ASNA” expected to move further west, southwestward: NDMA

National Disaster Management Authority has issued an alert about cyclonic storm ASNA which is located at about 185 km southwest of Karachi and 370 km southeast of Gwadar.

The cyclone is expected to move further west and southwestward.

The system will result in windspeed of 60-80 km per hour along Pakistan's coast and upto Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Dadu districts.

Under this influence, Karachi division, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Alla Yar, Matiari, Jamshoro, and Dadu are likely to get showers with heavy downpours until tonight.

Hub, Lasbella, Awaran, Keach, and Gwadar districts of Balochistan are also likely to experience strong winds and heavy showers until tomorrow night.

Fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture into sea till tomorrow.
