Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed has taken notice of burning of the shrine of a Hindu saint by a mob in Karak and fixed the matter for hearing on Tuesday next.

According to a press release issued by the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice has also directed the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the IGP to submit a report on the matter to the court on Monday next.

It merits a mention here that MNA and Patron in Chief Pakistan Hindu Council Dr. Ramesh Kumar called on the Chief Justice at Supreme Court Branch Karachi Registry today and discussed the issue with him.

The Chief Justice showed concern over the tragic incident and informed the MNA that he has already taken cognizance of the issue.
