Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Asif Yasin Malik (Defense Analyst): The word peace matters a lot and it is rightly said that peace is the best defense of any country. Pakistan Navy is going to hold seventh Multinational Maritime Exercise "Aman" in which navies from 40 countries are to participate. The drill is meant to contribute towards peace at both regional and global levels. It is a good initiative of Pakistan and I must appreciate the military diplomacy and foreign policy of the country in this regard. Such exercises provide the best platform to exchange experiences and ideas in order to achieve peace. I am sure this naval drill will play a pivotal role in strengthening maritime cooperation, promoting a secure maritime environment and regional and global peace and stability.
