Shamim Shawl (Hurriyet Leader): The statement of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet is encouraging. The restriction in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is not only limited to communication, but the Kashmiri people are not even being allowed to move freely in the valley. It is the third report of UN Human Rights and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights clearly expressed concerns the prevailing situation in the occupied valley. The entire valley is under Indian military siege for over a year. The Kashmiris across the globe have continuously been protesting against the Indian policies in the valley. It is good omen that voices against Indian policies and its human rights violations in the disputed territory have been rising. Such reports must be an eye opener for the countries that are prioritizing their national interests with India. India is trying to save its face but its atrocities have badly exposed on innocent Kashmiris. It is the time to built political and diplomatic pressure on India to force it to implement UN resolutions in occupied valley. Sooner or later, the Kashmiris will be given their fundamental right to self-determination. It is a fact that you can never subjugate a nation by use of force for a long period of time.
