Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friends and partners and China considers Pakistan as its Iron Brother. Pakistan is entering into a new chapter of economic take-off through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which is a flagship project of China’s “Belt and Road” initiative. China’s prime purpose of building up the CPEC is to promote its economic and trade connections with regional countries. The bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries is characterized by feelings of mutual trust, respect and goodwill towards each other. The recent exchange of visits at the highest level between the two countries will further strengthen the relations of both countries.
