A two-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard a suo motu case about the appointment of vice chancellors at medical universities of Punjab, at Supreme Court Lahore registry on Friday.

Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Saeed submitted a report about the search committees constituted to appoint the Vice Chancellors.

At this, the Chief Justice directed that the search committees should complete the assigned task timely and efficiently and adjourned the hearing of the case till tomorrow.
