Speaker of Afghanistan Wolesi Jirga, Rehman Rehmani has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and role in achieving lasting peace in the South Asian region.

In a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, he said both the countries can achieve economic stability by utilizing their geographical importance.

Rehmani, is in Islamabad with an Afghan Parliamentary delegation to attend the  conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of Economic Cooperation Organization.

The Afghan Jirga Speaker expressed confidence that the PAECO conference will prove beneficial for regional development, prosperity and further strengthening the member countries’ relations with each other.               

Speaker Asad Qaiser said strong relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan are inevitable for regional peace and stability.

He said PAECO Conference will pave way for a greater trade and economic cooperation among the member countries.
