In connection with World Press Freedom Day, All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter organized a demonstration outside Islamabad Press Club to express solidarity with the oppressed journalists of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The participants raised slogans condemning Indian atrocities in the occupied territory. They were also carrying banners in support of the Kashmiri journalists.

They said denial of freedom of speech in occupied Jammu and Kashmir is violation of international laws.  They said the world community should take notice of the plight of Kashmiri journalists.

Speaking on the occasion, Hurriyat Leader Mir Tahir Masood said that journalists in occupied Jammu and Kashmir are facing killings, arrests, intimidation and fake cases.  He said the Indian authorities are abusing the journalists to conceal their atrocities in the valley.

Mir Tahir Masood said the Kashmiri journalists should continue their struggle. The entire Pakistani nation including representative bodies of Journalists in Pakistan stand by them.
